Carbon impact is not always what counts most.

Carbon impact and its effect on global warming (greenhouse gas emissions) is just one of the 16 categories of impact of human activity on the planet. Many other impact categories need to be taken into account (use of fossil fuels, natural resources, water, fine-particle emissions, biodiversity issues, etc.). On average, the carbon footprint represents only 30% of the global footprint.
