Wool is not as soft as polyester.

A wool yarn is in fact 7 to 15 times more impactful than a polyester, nylon, cotton or linen yarn. In fact, when all the stages in the wool life cycle are taken into account, it becomes clear that the production of wool yarn has a major impact on the environment, notably due to the impact of producing the feed to raise the sheep and the methane emissions emitted by the animal throughout its life.
