Quand on ne voit pas tout, on ne voit rien.
Glimpact Master Class on 27 August: a major discussion that will shape the public debate on the ecological transition of the fashion and textile industry!
Mission accomplished with more than 300 participants in Paris or online, around an exceptional line-up of speakers as brilliant as they were inspiring!
A Master Class that kept its promise: to chart a clear and concrete path for all stakeholders in the fashion and textile industry, so that they can prepare calmly for the upheaval that will be brought about by the implementation of the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), by adopting the European framework (the PEFCR Apparel & Footwear).
But above all, a very constructive and creative contribution to the broader public debate on the major challenge of the sector’s ecological transition.
Under the impetus of Christophe Girardier, host and moderator of the discussions, this Master Class was dense and fascinating, with:
- the structured and enlightening contribution of MEP David Cormand, who gave a very positive image of the European Parliament,
- the scientific, objective and expert view of Alessandra Zamagni, who so brilliantly managed to demystify not only partisan criticisms of the PEF method, but also the presumed complexity of the European methodological framework, theorising the “governance of this complexity,”
- the testimonies—brilliant, truly fascinating in their richness and complementarity, and highly inspiring—of Guillaume Kretz, CEO of Chantelle, Raynald Anquet Vice-Président Quality & CSR Operations at Lacoste, Candice Cardock, Head of Sustainability - Ecodesign & Customer Engagement at Decathlon, Marie Demaegdt, Textile & Sustainability Director at the Alliance for European Flax-linen & Hemp, and Grégory Darcy, Sustainability Director at Chantelle.
A landmark moment that will shape the public debate and a great source of pride for Glimpact for having helped to nourish it and, in so doing, to showcase the respective commitments of our speakers—sincere, exemplary and sustained—towards this ecological transition, as well as those of the major players whom we have the honour and pride to support!
Many thanks to all participants, and special thanks to our outstanding speakers: David Cormand, Alessandra Zamagni, Guillaume Kretz, Raynald Anquet, Candice Cardock, Marie Demaegdt, Grégory Darcy, Romain Alvira.
